Friday Writings - Eden pt2

Part two of my attempt to adapt Mark Twain to a modern setting. Nothing puts your writing skills to the test quite like working with material from an absolute master. Every time I think I’ve got something figured out his text throws me a curve ball.

If I’m honest I’m not really sure how well I’m doing with this. Is it whimsical or is it just silly? In my mind it’s a love story between a newlywed couple, but Twain had the advantage of essentially writing for a fantasy world where everything is in fact new, and I’m coming from the standpoint of everything “feeling” new and two people essentially learning each other and having fun together. So I am questioning if my approach is really sustainable for the entirety of Twains work.
