Awkward Itch – Parody of Rihanna’s “We Found Love”

We decided to start 2016 right with a music video parody of Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” There’s nothing more enjoyable than poking fun at pop culture, and so we’ve transformed this well known song into “Awkward Itch.”

This video was a completely crazy production. We planned this back in January of 2015, but at the time were neck deep in other production so it wasn’t until March that we started shooting. First we recorded the song so that we’d have a track to use for timing for the dance numbers and dramatic scenes. Then we had to stop for a while as we started production on two short films, a feature film, and a web series. That took us to July when we got back together, in sweaters, in a field, in 90 degrees of heat and shot that dance number. Then we had another break with illness, travel, and other major productions. When we had a free weekends we’d shoot, the rain scenes were actually shot the weekend a hurricane hit land on the coast, and then a few weeks later we finished it up.

Because this was a majorly back burner project for us, the entire production took about a year, however the team stuck together, sacrificed their free time for long, hard shoots, and in the end produced a quality, enjoyable music video for our fans.

Let us know what you think and if you’d like to see anything else like this in the future.
